Oh...my...word! This vintage brooch is amazing. It is so enormous and wondrous, we have given it a name, "The Heart of the Sea." The large blue rhinestone is a whopping 1 1/8" wide by 1 1/2" long, and has beautiful depth of color.

We clean, inspect and return vintage treasures to their best possible condition. Decades of old makeup, dirt and dust are removed and pieces receive a light polish. This process takes many attempts and sometimes hours of work. This is in stark contrast to most sellers. Our vintage jewelry is ready to wear, and in the best possible condition we were able to provide. It is a labor of love, and we think it shows in our photos and in person.
Bitchin Retro Notes: The main stone in this brooch is in excellent vintage condition. A few rhinestones in the surround and also the top articulation have minimal foil loss (seen as dark specks with a loupe) and very slight cloudiness. There is a very small air bubble in the glass, but so small we could not capture it in a photo. None of this was seen without the aide of a strong loupe. Oddly, the pin stem itself has some flea bites, and scratches. See photo. We would recommend being careful attaching the pin to delicate fabrics until you see if the pin glides in easily. In addition, this brooch has some weight to it, which may pull on lighter fabrics. This brooch has been thoroughly cleaned, and given a light polish. Please see condition descriptions below.

Excellent = very little to no visible wear, though minimal flea bites/scratches may be seen thru a loupe or magnification.
Very Good = normal wear and tear typical for the age which can be seen up close, as well as flea bites/scratches seen thru a loupe.
Average = significant wear seen with and without a loupe. We will note specifics and provide photos.
