This Stackable Rings Workshop is designed for beginners who want to explore the basics of jewelry making. In this two-hour session, participants will learn fundamental techniques such as sawing, soldering, shaping, and finishing to create their own sterling silver rings. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are provided. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have some handmade rings to take home. This workshop functions like a crash-course, bite-sized introduction to silversmithing.
Please note: the rings in this class are designed to be thin, stackable rings. Students will not be able to make rings wider than 2mm in this course. How many rings a participant goes home with depends on how many they are able to make during the session- with a limit of 5 rings. Students are encouraged to try out different styles, like hammered or twisted, during the time provided.
